Step 1: You can choose a virus.
bacteria and parasites are not as dependent on the environment.Pick a virus and buy environmental resistance traits as your bug develops.The parasites are for the con.If you have time to walk away from the computer for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, it's not a bad way to go.Stick to the viruses orbacteria for more immediate satisfaction.
Step 2: You should name your bug.
Some people claim that naming your bug a certain way will lead to starting in Madagascar, but these are far from 100% effective.It's better to focus on where you start than it is to name cheat.
Step 3: Pay attention to the beginning of your bug.
The success of your game can be affected by where the infection begins.Try to start in a small or isolated area.It's a good idea to start in Argentina, Indonesia, Greenland and Madagascar.You have to force your way in.A common Pandemic 2 strategy is to restart the game until you can start in Madagascar.It takes some time, but it makes sure you don't miss out on infecting the island.
Step 4: Immediately remove your "gift" symptoms.
As soon as you're happy with your location, open up the Disease tab and unload the symptoms you started with.This makes it possible for your bug to fly under the radar.It costs evolution points to sell your symptoms, but it is worth it.Don't worry, you'll get better symptoms later.
Step 5: Purchase transmission modes with enough points.
Look at the transmission modes after you have built up some evolution points.The most important modes to buy are waterborne and airborne.You can buy rodents and insects, but they're not as effective.If your disease isn't spreading as quickly as you would like, then you should buy them.
Step 6: Purchase your resistances.
You should look at the climate where your bug started and the bonus resistance you got from the beginning.This will help you make a decision.Don't buy another level of resistance.Your points should be used to upgrade the others.Buy what's related to the country where your disease started, as well as the places where the ships and planes from your country go.Russia, Canada, Greenland and West Europe are the cold regions.Mexico, Brazil, Africa, Australia, West Europe, India, and the Middle East are in the heat.Cuba, Argentina, Indonesia, Japan and Australia are all in the tropics.
Step 7: Keep an eye on your disease's spread.
You should be able to see where the disease is spreading.Notice when the ports close.It's over if you have a bug that closes down access before it gets to them.Start again.
Step 8: Continue to build up evolution points.
Sit back and let the evolution points build for a while.You should move on to the next step if you have around 50.Pay attention to vaccine development.The vaccine progress can be checked by clicking the World tab.You should buy a drug resistance level if you notice that a vaccine is less than 30 days to completion and more than half of the hospitals are working on it.If it gets too close, just buy another level and keep checking it.You won't have to worry about hospitals shutting down.
Step 9: You can buy up your symptoms in one big event.
Purchase all of your symptoms at the same time when you're ready to unleash total destruction.If there is a big natural disaster, then move in.Sneezing and coughing are some of the symptoms that work well.The ones that increase lethality are expensive, but deadly.Don't try to get to Tier 4.You can do more damage with the symptoms in the first three tiers if you have too many points.
Step 10: Every region will be forsaken if you sit back.
