How To Block Yahoo!

You can learn how to prevent anyone from going to Yahoo.com in any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet.You can block the website by editing a special file on your computer called the "hosts" file.If you're blocking the site for a child, you can use the parental controls built in to your devices.You can prevent yourself from viewing the site with a browser plug-in.

Step 1: Press Win+S.

On the first empty line, type 127.0.0.1, press the key, and then type www.Yahoo.com.Press the key and type 127.0.0.1.To block Yahoo Mail, go to the next line, type 127.0.0.1, and then type mail.Yahoo.com.

Step 12: You can save the file by clicking the File menu.

You can save your changes to the hosts file.

Step 13: You should restart your PC.

Click the Start menu, click the menu and select the option to change the hosts file.Nobody will be able to access Yahoo on the web when your PC comes back up.

Step 14: On your Mac, open the Terminal app.

On the first empty line, type 127.0.0.1, press the key, and then type www.Yahoo.com.Press the key and type 127.0.0.1.To block Yahoo Mail, go to the next line, type 127.0.0.1, and then type mail.yahoo.com.

Step 19: Press Control+O.

You can save your changes to the file.

Step 20: Press Control+X

This exits the building.Click the red circle at the top to close the terminal window.

Step 21: Press Return if you want to type the name of theflush cache.

If you refresh your network settings, Yahoo will be blocked immediately.If you ever want to add more lines, you'll have to remove the two lines you added.

Step 22: You can open your settings on your phone.
