How To Change File Names in Bulk in Windows

You can learn how to change the names of multiple files in Windows.

Step 1: To open the file explorer, press Win+E.

You can see a list of drives, folders, and files on your computer.

Step 2: You can change the files in the folder.

Step 3: You can select the files.

If you want to select more than one file at a time, hold theSHIFT key.You can drag a box around the files you want to modify.If you want to select all of the files in a folder, you have to click somewhere in the folder.

Step 4: Click on the files that are highlighted.

The context menu will expand.

Step 5: Click Rename.

It is near the bottom of the menu.The names of the files are no longer usable.

Step 6: To enter, type in the name you want.

Each subsequent file will end with a number, because this changes all of the file names to what you typed.If you name the first file Cat.gif, the next one will be called Cat(1).
