How To Cut Choppy Bangs

Choppy bangs look great with other styles, including bobs. They make round faces look thinner and make short foreheads look longer.choppy bangs are an exception to the rule of not cutting bangs at home.Their layers make them very flexible.

Step 1: Start with dry hair.

The method works best with pixie cuts, which are cut randomly. For those who are pressed for time, it's a great method.Try smoothing cream, hair oil, or a hair product. It will help keep the hairs from shifting when you cut them.

Step 2: If necessary, separate your bangs from the rest of your hair.

Two side parts can be created with the handle of a rat-tail comb.If you want them to meet in a V behind your head, you should have them span from one eyebrow to the other.Pull the rest of your hair back in a ponytail. If you already have bangs, skip this step and use your existing bangs as a cutting guide.

Step 3: You can cut your bangs to make them manageable.

You should do this regardless of whether you have bangs or not.Simply cut your bangs with a pair of scissors until they are about your nose or cheekbone length.

Step 4: Take a strand of hair from your bangs and twist it.

Pull the strand between your fingers.Keep it pointed straight down by pinching it close to the ends.Between the thickness of a pencil and your finger is the section. To get a system to your cutting, grab a section from the center of your head.

Step 5: Cut across the strand with your scissors.

Remove a pair of scissors.Place them to the left or right by 45 degrees.Move the scissors across the strands above your fingers. The combination of twisting and cutting at a downward angle will give you a choppy texture.Cut the strand so that it is past your eyebrows.Use the tip of your scissors to cut.Don't use more than 4 inches.

Step 6: If you want to go onto the next, shake the strand out.

Cut your hair until it is roughly the same length across. If you want to make them more even, use a strand that has already been cut as a guide, and hold it next to an uncut strand. If you want to work in a more systematic way, work from the center to the right and then the left.

Step 7: The bangs should be touched if needed.

Take a look at your hair.If you see strands that are longer than the rest, cut them with your scissors. If you feel that your bangs are too long, you can trim them shorter using the same method.

Step 8: Start with dry hair.

This method is great for bobs and other cuts.It will take a bit more time, but you will get a better cut.You can cut your hair while it is wet.Once your hair is completely dry, make sure to clean up any mistakes.

Step 9: If you have to, separate your hair from your bangs.

The handle of a rat-tail comb can be used to create two side parts.Start each one above the arch of your left and right eyebrow and have them come to a point about 2 inches from your head.Pull your hair into a ponytail or secure it with clips. You should skip bangs if you already have them. They can be used as a cutting guide.

Step 10: Put your hair in the center.

Straightening your hair is the first thing you should do.If you notice any flyaways, apply some smoothing cream or oil.Put your hair down the center. The left side of your hair is where you're going to start. You can secure the right side with a hair clip.

Step 11: You can pinch the left side of your hair.

Use your index and middle fingers to make a V shape. If you want them to reach the top of your eyebrow, close them against your left side bangs.Pull the section away from your head. You can either keep your fingers parallel to the floor or angle them downward to create face-framing bangs.

Step 12: Use short, upward shears to cut your hair.

Get rid of the scissors.Start by cutting your hair below your fingers, the one closest to the middle of your forehead. The very tip of your scissors is the best way to cut short snips. If you're having trouble cutting at an angle, use a pair of chunking shears and cut straight across.

Step 13: The process for the other side of your hair needs to be repeated.

Start on the side closest to the middle of your forehead. To cut between your fingers, pinch your hair between them and use small scissors. If you angle your fingers in the previous step, you'll get a different result.

Step 14: If you need to touch them up, shake your bangs out.

You can loosen your bangs by shaking them with your fingers.Look at your hair.Use the same process to trim them shorter if they are too long.
