How To Install VMware Player

You can learn how to install a player for Windows or Linux.You can install and run a virtual version of another operating system in a window on your desktop with the help of the free PC-based tool.The virtual operating system has to be installed from a separate disk image.

Step 1: You can find the product at https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.

There will be a download site for the player.If you meet the requirements, you will be able to install the player on your PC.You have to restart your PC early in the install process.If you have any files that need to be saved, save them now.

Step 2: Click the green button to download.

The page is near the top-right corner.

Step 3: Next to the download is the Windows version.

The first blue button should be on the page.You can download the installer to your computer.To start the download, you may have to click.

Step 4: Click the file to open it.

It's a file similar to the one in your downloads folder.Click if prompted to allow the installation to run.

Step 5: To restart your PC, click Yes.

The first thing the installer has to do is restart the PC to install a tool called Microsoft VC Redistributable.When the PC is done restarting, move to the next step.

Step 6: The file should be run again.

Once the computer comes back up, you can restart the installation by double-clicking it again in the downloads folder.Click if prompted to allow the installation to run.

Step 7: To set up the program, click next.

The next step is to choose your preferences and accept the license agreement.

Step 8: Click here to download the player.

The installation will take a while to complete.

Step 9: To close the wizard, click Finish.

Once the installation is complete, this option will appear.From the Start menu, you can launch the player and set up the operating system you want.Click to enter information if you purchased a license.There are no other operating systems that come with the Workstation Player.You'll need an ISO disk image of your computer's operating system to install a virtual one.

Step 10: You can open a terminal window.

You can do this by pressing the keyboard's keys.

Step 11: Run the apt install.

To enter, type the command at the prompt and press Enter.Extra files are needed to install the Player.

Step 12: In a browser, go to https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.html.

There will be a download site for the player.If you meet the requirements, you will be able to install the player on your PC.No other operating systems are included in the VMware Workstation Player.If you want to install a virtual operating system on your computer, you need an ISO disk image.

Step 13: Click the green button to download.

It's on the right side of the page.

Step 14: Next to the Linux version, click download.

The second button should be on the page.You can save the file by clicking.

Step 15: Attach the downloaded file to the computer.

Before it can be run, the downloaded file must be made usable.If you're using a graphical file manager, you can navigate to the folder where the installer was saved.Click the tab, and then check the box next to "Execute."If you want to use the command prompt, use cd to change to the directory where the installation is saved, and then run chmod +x.

Step 16: It's a good idea to run the installer.

If you use a graphical file manager, you can double-click to run it.If you're at the command prompt, you can type and press Enter.

Step 17: Follow the instructions on the screen.

During the installation process, if you have purchased a license key, you'll be prompted to enter it.You'll see a success message once the install is complete.

Step 18: To finish the installation, click Close.

Clicking on the name of the program in the Applications menu will launch it and create your first virtual machine.
