Reindeer are fun to make and make great projects for kids.Try making a cute reindeer with a pipe cleaner head and red bead for a nose.Try a reindeer with a candy cane body and a pipe cleaner.You can make small treat bags that look like reindeer.Reindeer are great ornaments or gift decorations.
Step 1: Take the red bead and put it on the pipe cleaner.
A single red pony bead should be Threaded through the end of the pipe cleaner.Push the bead down so that it is in the center of the pipe cleaner.The pipe cleaner should be folded up so that it looks like a U with the red bead at the base.
Step 2: Halfway up the U shape, twist the pipe cleaner together.
If you twist the ends around once, the left side of the "U" will now point to the right.The V shape should be formed above the twist.Below the twist, shape the pipe cleaner into an oval shape.
Step 3: Just below the "V" is where you should grab both sides of the shape.
bend the head shape into a triangle.The red bead should be at the center of the triangle.Above the twist alone, leave the "V" shaped antlers.
Step 4: To make ears, pinch each side of the triangle base.
The reindeer's antlers are below the upside-down triangle on each side of the base.To form reindeer ear shapes, pinch both sides out.
Step 5: To form the snout, pinch both sides of the head.
The spot between the red nose and the antlers is halfway between them.At that spot, gently squeeze the sides of the face.The snout shape is created by narrowing the bottom of the face.The snout should have a red bead at the bottom.
Step 6: 2 spirals are formed by twisting each antler around your finger.
To make a spiral shape with the pipe cleaner, loop the left antler around your finger.The same thing should be done for the right antler.The spirals of the antlers are a basic V shape.
Step 7: If you want to form a loop, tie a red ribbon between the ears.
If you want to hang your reindeer on your Christmas tree or use it as a decoration, you need to thread a red ribbon between the reindeer's ears.Tie the ends of the ribbon together with a bow or knot.
Step 8: The hook is at the top if you hold the candy cane straight up.
The cane has a stick base.The candy cane is at the top if you hold it vertically.The reindeer's head is the short side of the hook.The reindeer's body will be the long side of the hook.The candy cane is in a plastic wrapper.
Step 9: Attach 2 eyes halfway down the head with hot glue.
Use small eyes that are glue side-by-side on the candy cane stick.Attach the eyes halfway down the reindeer's head.The hot glue needs 1-2 minutes to cool.
Step 10: There is a small red pom-pom at the bottom of the head.
The reindeer's nose is red.At the end of the hook, glue it to the candy cane.The hot glue needs 1-2 minutes to cool.
Step 11: The brown pipe cleaner needs to be Threaded halfway through the hook.
You should have the same amount of pipe cleaner on each side of the hook.The reindeer's antlers will be formed by the pipe cleaner.
Step 12: The candy cane has a hook.
The brown pipe cleaner should be under the candy cane.Pull the left half of the pipe cleaner over the hook.Pull it back to the right after bending it under the hook.
Step 13: To form spirals, twist the pipe cleaner around your finger.
To make a spiral shape, wrap the left side of the pipe cleaner around your finger.Do the same for the left side of the pipe cleaner.The spiral-shaped reindeer antlers are what you should have.
Step 14: The reindeer's neck can be tied with a red ribbon.
A red ribbon is 20 to 25 cm in length.The reindeer's neck is on the long side of the hook.You don't have to do this, but it adds a cute final touch to your reindeer.Attach the ribbon to the candy cane with a tiny dot of hot glue.
Step 15: The candy should be placed in the center of the circle.
To make a little sack around the candy, make sure you can easily close the sides of the tulle.You can use any treat that you like, but Christmas colored M&Ms work great for this.
Step 16: The bag should be secured with an elastic.
Pull up the edges of the candy to make a treat bag.The reindeer's body is in this bag.Use a rubber band to secure the ends of the gathered tulle.The reindeer's tail is stuck out of the secured end.
Step 17: Take a brown pipe cleaner and make a head.
After bending the pipe cleaner in half, you should be able to twist the ends together.The nose is the fold, the twist is at the top of the head and the 2 ends are the antlers.
Step 18: To make spirals, twist the pipe cleaner around the pencil.
If you don't have a pencil, you can use your finger.To make a spiral shape, loop the left antler around the pencil.For the right antler, do the same thing.The spiral shaped antlers are a basic V shape.
Step 19: To create the neck, cut and fold a second brown pipe cleaner.
Take one of the cut half-pieces and fold it in half.Wrap the pipe cleaner around the top of the head.To make them look like one piece, twist the 2 halves together.The reindeer's neck is where you will put the treats.After adjusting the head and antlers, attach the neck.
Step 20: Attach the eyes and pom pom to the head with glue dots.
Place the glue dot in the center of the head.Press the eyes down into the glue dot, side by side.The reindeer's nose has a glue dot on it.Put the red pom pom into the glue dot.
Step 21: Take the neck out and put it in the treat bag.
The treat bag should be placed on its side.Put the pipe cleaner neck into the mesh at the top of the treat bag.If you want to attach the collar around it, you need to leave at least 1 in of neck poking out of the top.
Step 22: Cut a brown pipe cleaner to make legs and hooves.
The end of the half-piece should be 1.5 in from the bottom.Pull the folded end around the longer piece of pipe cleaner.To make a tiny hoof, bend it into a triangle shape.The same thing should happen for the second leg and hoof.
Step 23: The treat bag has legs in it.
If you like, you can trim the leg length a little, just make sure you leave at least 1 in ( 2.5 cm) on each piece to insert into the treat bag.Work one leg into the mesh at the bottom left, then the other leg in the treat bag.
Step 24: To make a collar, cut a piece of red pipe cleaner.
The bells should be placed on the red pipe cleaner.Wrap the red pipe cleaner around the neck of the reindeer.The collar should be secured with a threaded bell over the twisted ends.
