If you have a PC with Windows 8 but miss the old Windows 7, you can bring back the Start Menu and the Aero glass theme with transparent window title bars and border to hide the new elements.There are ways to make Windows 8 look similar to Windows 7.
Step 1: Go to Classic Shell.
The Start button on Windows 8 is brought back with this program.
Step 2: Click the button if you want to download it.
Step 3: The download has started.
Don't click any other download buttons, they can install unwanted programs on your computer.
Step 4: Click "Run" when prompted.
Step 5: Accept the license agreement.
Step 6: The features you can choose are Classic IE9, Classic Start menu and Classic Explorer.
Step 7: Click to install.
Wait for the installation to finish.
Step 8: Click on it to finish.
Step 9: There is a new approximation to the old Microsoft Start logo.
Step 10: Click on "Start" if you want to choose "Basic settings" or "All settings".
The familiar layout of programs and settings can now be browsed.
Step 11: Skip Metro Suite is a free tool.
Step 12: Click to get a free download.
Don't click any of the buttons, which will install other programs.
Step 13: The program needs to be installed.
Step 14: The program should start.
Step 15: Check to see if you can skip the start screen.
Step 16: The Charms Bar is a Windows 8 feature that you don't like.
Step 17: Save your settings.
Step 18: Click on Windows 8 to personalize it.
The personalization window will open.
Step 19: The default Aero theme should be applied.
The Aero theme should be applied if it is not.
Step 20: At the bottom of the window, click on "Window Color".
Step 21: Don't click anything in the color and appearance window.
Step 22: Click your desktop to open a secondPersonalization window.
Step 23: Click on the "Windows Basic" theme to apply it.
Step 24: Go back to thePersonalization window that you opened earlier.
Step 25: Go to the "Enable transparency" option and check it again.
Step 26: You can save changes by clicking the "Save changes" button.
There is an approximation to Aeroglass in the Aero lite theme.
