How To Overcome Shyness Around Guys

The majority of adolescents go through periods of shyness. In some cases, this can affect your dating life.By learing to relax in social situations and projecting a positive image, you will be able to overcome your shyness around guys.

Step 1: Not everyone is looking at you.

It can feel like everyone is watching you when talking to a guy. This isn't usually true.People are too absorbed in their own lives and preoccupations to notice if they are nervous or doing strange things.shyness is not visible to others when people are shy.Being in the moment can help with this.Do your best to focus on the task at hand. You can conduct an experiment to see how few people pay attention to you.If you want to stand out in a public place, try wearing something loud or doing something unusual.Few people actually listen to these things. If you want to ask passersby the time, wear a large watch. It may make you feel better to know you are not the center of attention.

Step 2: Don't worry about fitting in with the guys.

It is difficult to do when you are young. If you don't fit in, you will not have friends or the best friends.Your friends will like you for who you are.Guys like you for who you are. They like your quirks and passions. It's cool that you're not afraid to be yourself, says a worthwhile guy.It shouldn't be necessary to have an opinion on your choices. For a reason, you make your choices. It makes you even more desirable when you don't care about fitting in.It makes you feel confident.

Step 3: You should focus on your breath.

Breathing can calm you down.Breathing deep can help calm the heart. No one will notice that you are breathing a little deeper.

Step 4: Don't leave the moment.

Instead of worrying about what others think about you or what could go wrong, focus on the moment and pay your attention outward.Listen to what they have to say.Take a look at their facial expressions. If you can, it helps to keep eye contact. You don't have to worry about what's worrying you if you focus on the moment.

Step 5: Have social interactions.

It can be made easier if you just talk to guys.If you have a negative reaction, avoid them and find other guys to talk to.There is more to success of a social interaction than just you.You can only control what you bring to the table.Say something about something you noticed about them. You could say, "I noticed you wear skater shoes."Are you a skateboarder? You did a cool drawing in art class.Where did you come up with that idea? It's a good idea to get them talking about something they like so you can get used to it.Practice getting rejected. It is a part of life and not everyone will approve of you.If you embrace your fear, it can be a less powerful force in your life.

Step 6: Speak up.

You need to speak up if you are constantly deferring to other people or letting people walk all over you.You don't have to be aggressive. It is more that you are confident. You don't have to agree with the opinions of other people. If a guy bails because you speak up for yourself, he is probably not the kind of guy you want around anyway. If you're not comfortable with a situation, you can say, "I'm not going to stay out late."I want to be able to hang out again soon, and I'll be grounded for sure. This will let them know that you don't want to get in trouble for them, but you are interested in hanging out again.

Step 7: Try new things.

People are shy because they think they aren't interesting enough for a guy to notice. They don't do what they think would be embarrassing.People who are willing to try new things are often the people who have the most confidence.Go bungee jumping or start small and talk to people you admire. It becomes easier to make it a habit once you start.

Step 8: Don't dress the way you want to be dressed.

Unless you are comfortable doing this, this does not mean letting it all go.If you are constantly wondering if people care about what you wear, then you might want to rethink your outfits.Don't worry about others' opinions, wear what makes you happy.People will notice your confidence more than your outfit when you love what you wear.

Step 9: You should recognize your self-worth.

This may be the most important aspect of overcoming shyness. You are worth a lot because of who you are.You don't need men's approval for that to be true. You will feel more confident around guys if you believe in your self-worth and don't need anyone else's approval.Look at what makes you unique. This can give you a better idea of what's great about you.Don't compare yourself to other people. It hurts if you make others feel superior or feel like you don't measure up.

Step 10: Don't worry about being perfect.

No one is perfect. When you ask a person what being perfect would mean, they don't have a clear idea, or the image is someone they've idealized beyond reality. It's not possible to be perfect in any case.It is possible to be the best you can be.If you want to be perfect, ask yourself what you really want.Being perfect can get in the way of what you really want, such as happiness, writing a book, or anything else that you might have a goal.

Step 11: Be who you are.

It is important to realize that even if you don't act the same in every situation, you are still being yourself. You wouldn't ask your boss the same thing your parents would. It can be different to express your confidence in school or in writing. If you are embarrassed about something in your life, please let me know. You may have to stop and think about why you feel that way.Is it people's expectations? If someone doesn't like something, say, "That's cool, but I enjoy what I like."They can make fun of you, but they can't make you dislike it.It will get easier as you practice being vulnerable.
