How To Peel and Cut a Rutabaga

Step 1: The rutabaga needs to be washed.

Step 5: Each piece should be cut into 1 inch cubes.

You can chop your rutabaga with the skin removed.If you are going to cook, roast, or bake this vegetable, you will most likely need it to be in cubes.Cut each slice into cubes with a sharp knife.Go back and forth with the remaining slices.

Step 6: When ready to use, cover the cubes in salted water.

Put your cubes in a bowl and cover them with water.Give the water a stir by sprinkling it with salt.It will keep your rutabaga fresh until you use it.
