How To Rip an Audio CD Using Winamp

Winamp is a free media player for both Windows and Mac computers.Music and video can be supported by the program.You can add your audio CD to your media library with Winamp.

Step 1: Winamp will be launched.

You can double-click on the icon on your desktop.

Step 2: Put the CD in the drive.

Wait for Winamp to recognize the file

Step 3: There is a Media Library tab.

Below the media control buttons is where this is found.

Step 4: If you want to rip the CD album, look for it.

You can choose the name of the CD album you want to rip by navigating down the panel.

Step 5: From the pop-up menu, click on the one you want toRip Audio CD.

There is a small window that says "Rip CDs faster in mp3".The free version of Winamp can only rip CDs at 8x speed.If you don't want to see this window the next time you rip a CD, put a check on "Never show me this again."

Step 6: Wait for Winamp to finish ripping your audio CD.

On the main window, you can see the progress.

Step 7: Click on the option to change it.

From the pop-up menu, select "Preferences".You can use the keyboard to open the Preferences window.

Step 8: The Preferences window has a panel on the left side.

There is a directory for the media library.Click on "CD ripping."

Step 9: Click on the option to change the output file settings.

Step 10: The destination folder should be specified in the text field.

This field has a location displayed on it.Winamp places the ripped audio files here.You can change the location to the directory you want.

Step 11: Go to the files.

You need to find your audio files.
