How To Set a Passcode on an iPhone

You can learn how to set a password that will allow you to access the information stored on your phone.

Step 1: Open the settings.

You can find the gray app on your home screen.

Step 2: Touch ID and Passcode can be accessed by scrolling down.

It's next to a red icon that has a white fingerprints.When you first set up your phone, you would add a password.

Step 3: Turn Passcode On will appear when you scroll down.

It is below the "FINGERPRINTS" section.If you have enabled Touch ID, you will be asked if you want to keep the fingerprints.To proceed, make a selection.

Step 4: Pass code options can be tapped.

It is at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: There is a passcode option.

You can choose from four different types of passcodes, which include numbers and/or letters, and is of a length that you determine.You can use a numbers-only passcode if you want to.You can use a numbers-only passcode.You can use a numbers-only passcode.

Step 6: Enter a code.

The screen has a keypad at the bottom.

Step 7: You can re-enter your password.

This confirms your password.

Step 8: You have to enter your Apple ID password.

This proves your identity.

Step 9: You can continue by tapping.

The password field is below it.You have changed the password on your phone.

Step 10: The finger can be tapped.

The "FINGERPRINTS" section is at the top.Touch the Home button with your finger until your fingerprints are recorded.You can repeat this step as you please.The "FINGERPRINTS" section has a place for you to add fingerprints.Touch ID is only available on newer phones.

Step 11: Touch ID can be used to choose how to use it.

Touch ID can be turned on or off by sliding the controls in the "USE TOUCH ID FOR:" section at the top of the screen.
