How To Set up a Wireless Network in Windows XP
This is a guide to setting up wireless home networking with Windows.
Step 1: All of the routers that you buy are compatible with Windows.
It is wireless that has different levels of compatibility.If your routers isn't new, then you should turn it on.
Step 2: If you want to share your internet, you'll have to plug in your router.
Step 3: Plug in your computer with a cable.
Step 4: Go to your browser and type in the address that your web server is listening to.
Step 5: You can enter your password from your internet service provider.
Step 6: To type a memorable passkey, enable wireless and set your encryption.
Step 7: It's a good idea to have your wireless device detected by Windows.
Step 8: Check the device manager.
Step 9: Run the wizard if your connection appears in the Wireless Connection Manager.
Step 10: The Wireless Network setup wizard can be run.
Step 11: If you want, give it a name.
Step 12: Go to "Encryption" and enter your passkey.
Step 13: Any properties should be adjusted.
Step 14: Get to know each other.
