How To Stretch Shrunken Wool Cloth.

Step 1: The basin should have water.

Put your shrunken wool garment or cloth in a basin or bucket with enough water to fully submerge it.If you don't have a container large enough to hold your wool item, you can use a clean sink.

Step 2: It's a good idea to add in conditioner or baby wash.

The hair conditioner or baby wash should be mixed in with the water bath.If you stir the water with your hands, the conditioner will be mixed in.The wool can be stretched out if the fibers of the wool are loosened.

Step 3: Allow the shrunken wool to soak.

You can put the shrunken wool in the bath of the baby wash or conditioner that you prepared. The wool should be submerged in the water.

Step 4: The wool needs to be removed from the bath.

Take the wool cloth or garment out of the basin and squeeze it to remove the water. The contents of the basin should be poured down the drain. If you want the wool to stretch out, do not rinse it with water.

Step 5: The wool should be rolled up in a towel.

Put the wet wool on top of the clean towel on the table or counter.Roll the towel from one end to the other with the wool inside.Take the wool item out of the towel. The excess water will be absorbed by the wool in the towel.

Step 6: The wool should be stretched in sections.

Put the shrunken wool on top of the clean, dry towel.Use your hands to stretch the wool. The wool is more elastic than usual.

Step 7: The wool must be stretched side to side.

Pull the wool by the bottom and top after stretching it.Pull from the sides again.Continue until the wool article is back to its original size.

Step 8: The wool should be left to dry.

When the wool item is stretched to its original size, leave it to dry on a dry towel. This will not harm the wool or affect its texture, so don't worry.

Step 9: You can make a water bath.

In a clean bucket or sink, mix 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.Make sure you have enough liquid to cover the item.

Step 10: For 25 minutes, put the wool item in the solution.

Put the shrunken wool in the water bath and mix it with water.Allow the wool to soak for 25 minutes.

Step 11: Take the wool out of the water.

Take the wool item out of the bath and squeeze it to release the water. To absorb more water, press it with a dry towel.

Step 12: You can stretch the wool with your hands.

You can stretch the shrunken wool by using your hands. When the garment is back to its original dimensions, stretch the top to bottom and side to side.

Step 13: The wool needs to be dry.

Once the wool is back to its original size, hang it up on a drying rack. The wool garment or cloth will be as good as new after drying.

Step 14: The wool item was wet.

You can wet your wool article by submerging it in water or running warm water over it.The wool is easier to stretch when wetting it.If the other two don't work, you should save this method of stretching wool.

Step 15: Dry towels should be laid out.

On a counter or other flat surface, lay out two dry bath towels side by side.Place heavy objects on the edges of the towels so that they can't move around and stay flat.

Step 16: The wool needs to be stretched by hand.

You can stretch out your wool item by hand, working in small sections and stretching the garment from top to bottom and side to side.

Step 17: The wool should be pinned to the towel.

The wool item should be pinned to the towel using sewing pins.Pull at the top of the garment to stretch it, then pin the item with sewing pins. This time, pin each side of the wool item.Gaps in the wool can be caused by the process of pinning your garment.

Step 18: The wool should be dry and unpinned.

To dry the pinned wool item, leave it to air dry.Remove the pins when the wool has dried completely. The item should hold its shape.
