The Optical Digital Audio Output can be used as an auto or pcm output.Current TV's don't support DTS Audio.

Depending on the method of connection for external audio, it will be either Optical Digital Audio Output (Optical cable) or HDMI/ARC.2 channel stereo sound (PCM) or multi-channel Dolby 5.1 digital sound can be output.

If you want to use the Optical Digital Audio Output, you need to select External Speaker and then choose either PCM or Auto as the Digital Sound Out.

HDMI 1 must be used on the TV and the external sound system must support the audio reverse channel.Select the mode you want to use.
