You can learn how to add a friend on Facebook by scanning a contact's QR code, and you can also use your own personal code to share it with your contacts.
Step 1: You can open the app on your phone.
The blue square button on the Facebook icon is white.You can find it on the menu.
Step 2: You can find the search icon.
There is a magnifying glass in the upper-right corner.There is a bar at the top.
Step 3: The search bar has a search icon.
You can use the on-screen keyboard to type "QR Code" in the search field and then tap the magnifying glass icon on the lower-right corner to search for the app on Facebook.
Step 4: You can tap the code in the results.
It should be at the top of the results.It has a blue icon with a white image.You can open the Facebook app with this search result.The Facebook page is next to the search result that has the thumbs up icon.This option is not the same as the Facebook app.
Step 5: Scan with your phone's camera.
Align the code on your screen with the one on the camera frame.The code will be recognized by the app.You will be taken to a page with a link in the code.The flash icon is in the upper-right corner if it's too dark for the camera.This will turn on your camera's flash to help you with your code.Alternatively, you can tap the button below the frame, which will take you to a screen with a QR code.
Step 6: The person has a plus sign next to their head.
The blue "Message" button is next to it.A friend request is sent to the person.They will be added as a friend if they approve your request.
Step 7: You can open the Facebook app on your phone.
The blue square button on the Facebook icon is white.You can find it on the app menu.
Step 8: You can find the search icon.
The icon looks like a magnifying glass in the upper-right corner.There is a search bar at the top.
Step 9: The search bar has a search icon.
You can use the on-screen keyboard to type "QR Code" in the search field and then tap the magnifying glass icon on the lower-right corner to search Facebook for the app.
Step 10: You can tap the code in the results.
It should be at the top of the search results.It has a blue icon with a white image.You can open the Facebook app with this search result.
Step 11: The My Code tab is at the top.
There is a button at the top of the screen.You will be able to see your personal code on the new page.Your contacts can see your profile and add you as a friend by scanning your personal QR code.
Step 12: There is a Save to Phone button.
The button is blue.It will save a picture of your personal code to your phone's image gallery.You can send a message or email to your contacts.
Step 13: The Share button can be tapped.
There is a button at the bottom of the screen.It will allow you to share your personal code with your friends.
Step 14: You can share your code with an app.
Attach your code to an email, send it as a message in a messaging app, or post it on social media.You will be switched to the selected app when you tap an app here.You can choose contacts, compose a message, or just tap the Send button to share your code, depending on the app you choose.
