You can cut costs on your big day by making your own veil.It is an ideal option for the bride who wants to create a custom veil to compliment her gown.There are several styles, materials, and finishes that brides can choose from.
Step 1: Pick the style of veil you want to make.

Step 2: Determine the length of the veil.

Step 3: The length of the second tier can be determined.

Step 4: Determine how much fabric is needed.

Step 5: You can iron your fabric.
Put your fabric on the ironing board.Make sure to iron out any folds.Once complete, lay out your fabric on a large flat surface and smooth it out.
Step 6: Cut your veil.
Measure the length of the veil.Get a pair of scissors.The fabric should be cut to the desired length.You can round the corners of the veil if you want.
Step 7: There are two rows of stitches across the top of the veil.
The sewing machine should be set to the largest stitch length.There is a straight line of stitches across the top of the veil.Leave a long tail if you backstitch or cut the bobbin thread short.Take the fabric and flatten it.The second row of stitches should be 1.5 inches down from the first row.Leave a long bobbin thread.
Step 8: To gather the fabric, pull the bobbin threads.

Step 17: The material should be cut to the right length.
A single piece of fabric is used to create a drop veil.The fabric isn't gathered.The measurement of the veil and blusher are combined into the total length of your full.Cut your veil to the appropriate length after you add together the two measurements.
Step 18: Take the material and divide it into quarters.
If you want to smooth out anywrinkles, lay the material on a clean surface.The material should be folded in half.The material should be folded in half widthwise.
Step 19: Round off the corners.
