It's a good idea to massage your sphenes.

It is possible to alleviate some of your irritation by massaging your sinuses. The pressure and mucus in the sinuses can be alleviated by massaging the tissues surrounding them. There are different types of massages you can try, including a basic, full-face massage, as well as massages designed for specific parts of your face.It is possible to mix any of these techniques and massage just one or all of your stomach.

Step 1: Rub your hands together to warm them up.

Warm hands and fingers are more comforting than cold hands.muscle tension can be caused by cold hands and fingers.A quarter-sized amount of oil can be placed on your palm. The oil helps to keep your hands away from your face. The scent of the oil can promote relaxation.Almond oil, baby oil and castor oil are good oils to use for a massage.Make sure you don't get any of it in your eyes while you massage those areas.

Step 2: Look at the eye sockets.

The eye sockets are located on either side of where the bridge of the nose meets the ridge of eyebrows. When pressure is applied to this area, it can help with colds, headaches, and tired eyes.Use your thumbs. The thumbs tend to be stronger than other fingers. The index finger may be more comfortable for other people.Do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Step 3: Use your fingers to apply pressure to the eye sockets.

The amount of pressure you apply should be between pleasant and firm.Press your fingers into the area and move them in a circular motion for two minutes. As you massage this area, keep your eyes closed.

Step 4: Put pressure on your cheeks.

If you want to place your middle and index fingers on either side of your cheek, you have to move your thumbs. When pressure is applied to this area, it can help to relieve pain in the nose. For about a minute, apply firm and constant pressure to your cheeks. For two minutes, move your fingers in a circular motion.

Step 5: If you feel any pain, stop the massage.

This basic massage can feel a little intense if you have a lot of pressure in your sinuses. If you feel any deep pain, you should stop and consult your doctor.

Step 6: It's a good idea to massage your brain.

The region of your forehead is where your frontal sinuses are located. If you want to smooth your fingers on your face, Rub lotion or massage oil onto your warmed hands. In the center of your forehead, place your index fingers between your eyebrows.Run your fingers from between your eyebrows to your temples using a circular motion.Use constant and firm pressure to repeat this movement 10 times.Make sure your hands are warm.Rub your hands together and it will create some heat.

Step 7: The ethmoid/sphenoid sinuses need massaging.

These are the tissues in the nose.Rub your hands together with a small amount of massage oil or lotion. To promote drainage, use your index fingers to stroke along the side of the bridge of your nose in a downward motion.Make small circles with your index fingers next to the corners of your eyes when you work your way up towards the bridge.Do not get oil into your eyes. The oil won't hurt your eyes.Apply constant and firm pressure while repeating this movement 10 times.

Step 8: You can learn how to massage your nose.

Again, apply lotion or massage oil to your hands and rub them together to warm them up.Put downward pressure on each cheek with your index fingers. If you want to move your fingers towards your ear, use small circular movements. This movement is repeated 10 times. You should use a firm pressure here to maximize relief.

Step 9: The nose rub technique is used to relieve the sinuses.

The technique is recommended for people with nose problems.Rub your hands with oil.Rub the tip of your nose with your palm and repeat the movement 15 to 20 times.Change directions and rub your nose in different directions. If you rubbed your nose clockwise for the first 15 movements, you should rub it in counterclockwise circles the rest of the time.

Step 10: You could try to drain your sinuses with a massage.

Rub your hands together with a small amount of lotion. To massage from the middle of the forehead to the ears, use your thumbs. This movement can be repeated two or three times.Place your thumbs on the middle of your nose. This movement can be repeated two or three times.Run your thumbs down the side of your neck under your jaw.

Step 11: Do a steam after a massage.

By combining the steam method described below with the massage techniques already described, you can increase drainage. If you want to relieve the pressure in your sinuses quickly and effectively, draining the excess mucus is a good idea.Without drugs or chemicals, steaming is an old method of relief. The steam helps open the nasal passages and thin out the thick mucus that can accumulate in the sinuses.

Step 12: Put water in a pot.

The water on the stove should be boiled for a minute or two.Remove the pot from the heat and place it on a mat.You don't want the steam to go into your throat and nose, but you do not want it to burn you.Children should not be near the pot while it is boiling or steaming. If there aren't any children around, try to do a steaming treatment.Don't try this method on children.

Step 13: There is a cotton towel over your head.

Put your head over the steaming pot.Close your eyes and keep your face at least 12 inches away from the water.

Step 14: You can breathe in and out through your nose and mouth.

For five counts, do this. The inhales and exhales should be reduced to two counts. For as long as the water is steaming, do this 10 minutes.Blow your nose while you're doing the treatment.

Step 15: You can steam up to two hours a day.

Up to every two hours you can use this technique. You can give yourself a steam whenever you want by putting your face over the steam coming from a hot tea or bowl of soup.

Step 16: You can add herbs to your treatment.

You can add herbs and essential oils to your steaming water. The claims that oils and herbs can relieve symptoms are not backed by scientific evidence.Black lavender oil is one of the best options to start with.Add a drop of black walnuts, tea tree oil, or oregano to your steaming water if you have been diagnosed with a fungi. These are thought to have antiseptic and antifungal properties. Before doing a full steam treatment, you should test your sensitivity to the herb.Take your face away from the steam for 10 minutes and assess how you feel after trying each herb oil.If you have any adverse reactions, such as sneezing or a skin reaction like a rash, reheat the water and do the full treatment. If you don't have essential oils, you can use dried herb. For dried herbs, boil for another minute after adding, turn off the heat and move the pot to a safe area in your home and begin steaming.

Step 17: Take a hot shower.

A hot shower can have the same effect as the steam treatment above. The hot water from the shower creates warm, moist air that helps to clear out blocked nasal passages.Blow your nose naturally. The heat and steam will help the sputum to be moist. If you want to achieve a similar effect, you can place a warm compress on your face to help open up your nose and relieve pressure in your sinuses.Warm a moist washcloth in the microwave.Don't burn yourself.
