Little is known about the childhood where he was born and raised.He was an expert hunter and survivalist.He never went to school because he didn't know how to read or write and had to have others read and write for him.He married a woman named Alice and had a child with her.They lived happily in an undisclosed location.Alice and his child contracted Smallpox and died a tragedy that he blamed on God.He remained a good person despite his problems with alcohol and gambling, even though he was depressed and alone.He was caught in a bad storm in the winter of 1873.He started getting involved with people who were unreliable and undesirable.He settled in Kansas.The pilot of Little House on the Prairie.

Mr.Edwards was the closest neighbour to the Ingalls family.Charles helped build their house and formed a close bond with Laura, teaching her how to spit, much to the displeasure ofCaroline, who didn't.The livestock that they couldn't take with them to Plum Creek were given to him as payment for his help with the house.

He risked his life by delivering Christmas presents to the Ingalls during a snowstorm.This made them trust and respect each other.When the government forced the Ingalls to leave Kansas, a tearyEdwards said goodbye to a deeply upset Laura while Charles andCaroline thanked him and gave him a few of their unneeded possessions.The pilot of Little House on the Prairie.

The family moved to Minnesota.Charles was picking up some stuff for Oleson when he found him drunk in the saloon.Charles persuaded him to visit the family after sobering him up.After a while, he got his own place.After Charles helped him get a job at Hanson's Mill, he lived with the family for a while.Mr.Edwards' Homecoming is the 105th episode.He met his future wife, Grace.He told Charles that a disease killed his wife and daughter before he met Grace and the Ingalls.

Charles and others find the source of typhus after a devastating prairie storm.On his way to buy a hunting rifle, Mr.Edwards takes the young Johnny Johnson with him to see the world.He helps the boy get home.In this episode, we're going to see the world.

He was able to charm Grace by himself, even though he tried to set him up with her.He and Grace had a problem because he didn't believe in God.He came to ignore this and went to Church with Grace because he thought God let his wife and child die of disease.Mr. Edward's and Grace begin a relationship.The three children of Julia Sanderson were adopted by John Jr., Alicia, and Carl after they married Grace.The first and second episodes of Remember Me (Part 1) are here.

His youngest son Carl nearly burns down their barn lighting off a firework he bartered from Willie Oleson, and later nearly loses him on a caboose that Carl inadvertently sets loose and becomes a runaway.He and Charles are looking for Carl and the children.Mr.Edwards embraces the boy even though he had gotten into some trouble.He and Charles are hired to haul a wagon-load of dangerous blasting-oil over rough country because of financial hardship.When the company is harassed by the highwayman, he saves his co-workers from being robbed by tricking them into thinking he was about to let go of one of the bottles of oil, and left believing it would explode killing them all when in really it was only some of his homemadeThe Long Road Home is the 218th episode.

Edwards helps Laura cope with the loss of her horse Bunny and explains to her how he once blamed God for the death of his first wife and children.The first time Mountain Fever took the lives of his wife and daughter, Mr.Edwards had two encounters with it.The second time his daughter lived with Laura, she thought she caught it after having spots on her.It turned out to be poison ivy.There is a chance that he brought this to her because he drank out of the same bottle that a man with a high temperature was drinking from.Quarantine is part of Episode 313.

One of the sad times for the family was when Charles had to take a dangerous job to make enough money for Mary's operation.There are two episodes of "To Live With Fear." Part 1 and Part 2.They moved to gold country with the Ingalls, but left after seeing the neighboring families destroyed by greed.There are two episodes of Gold Country (part 1) and part 2.

The family left after gold country.After moving away, he and Grace lived in a large well-furnished house with their adopted children and did not see or hear from the Ingalls family for years.While trying to saveAlicia from being hurt or killed by a falling tree,Isaiah's legs were crushed by it.He gave up on life and turned away Carl.Grace wrote a letter for help.Charles was able to prevent his friend from committing suicide on two separate occasions, but he was unable to bring him out of his depression.Charles pretended to have an injury from a gun accident in order to get him out of this state.Mr.Edwards was back to his normal self after this.The Return of Mr. Edwards is a part of this episode.

John Jr. was murdered on the streets of Chicago while investigating corruption.He went back to drinking after his son's death.Due to his continued drinking and broken promises, Grace and his children stopped living with him.After walking into the house drunk and ruining Carl's birthday party, Grace decided to leave him.He let her and the kids go after a brief loss of control.

After that, he comes back to the house pretending to be in good spirits and visiting Laura and the rest of the family.His drunkenness causes an accident that almost kills Albert.Charles confronted him after he was found to be responsible.He warned him to stay away from him and his family.

He tried to get some alcohol after learning that Grace had left him and was living with another man.He goes to the church after realizing his mistakes.Reverend Alden told him how God had helped him when he was faced with the loss of everything.After Reverend Alden spoke with Charles, his heart softened and he came to ask for his forgiveness.Mr.Edwards was present at thebaptism of Rose to signal his desire to start a new life.A promise to keep is the topic of this episode.

After falling out with Grace, Mr.Edwards goes back to the same place he was before and starts living on his own until the episode of the "Wild Boy" where he and Laura meet a boy named Matthew Rogers.Jenny convinces them not to turn Matthew in after he escapes, as he was put on show.Mr.Edwards takes Matthew to his house, cleans him up and Laura teaches them sign language because Matthew can't talk with his voice.When Matthew's "guardian" comes back to claim Matthew, Mr.Edwards fights for custody and wins.There are two episodes of The Wild Boy, Part 1 and Part 2.

Edwards became a good citizen of the town and helped defend it against wrong-doers and the railroad's empire-building.He was known to clash with Mrs. Olesen when she was acting in her usual manner.There is a child with no name.
