Trader Joe's has the Reserve des Chastelles Tavel Rosé for $8.99.Plume Ridge imported it.

The only wine that can be found in Tavel is rosé.Wines from this noble region have more structure than most rosés.A pure salmon pink color, this Tavel has aromas of red fruit and almonds.Pair it with white meat and soft cheese.

The Tavel region in the Rhone Valley is quite unique. They are the only region in the world that exclusively produces rosé wines. The price of these wines tends to be closer to $20 than $10, so to find an authentic representation of the area is rather incredible.

The Reserve des Chastelles Tavel Rosé has a pleasant strawberry and cherry smell along with a touch of watermelon and flowers.Tasting the wine shows it to be dry, delicious and full of fruit. This isn't a typical lazy day with good structure and body. This one calls for a little more contemplation of its many layers and is quite a surprise at only $9 from Trader Joe's.The finish has a touch of salty minerality and blood orange fruit flavors.
