The bear proof bird feeders have worked well to ward off bears.The bear cannot reach the feeders or bend the pole with a tall heavy grade steel pole.The result is no broken feeders, bent poles or unhappy people.An extension pole with a handy hook can be used to reach the feeders.

I can't dig a hole that deep because I have too many rocks in my yard.I have only had one pole that I could not get in the required depth, with over 150 poles installed to date.The pole is still standing because of some on site modifications and a little extra work.The hole digging process is shown in a video at the bottom of the Q and A section.

Do you have to put cement around the pole?Two or three 80 pound bags of concrete are required in most cases.

Do you deliver and install?We deliver and install up to 40 miles round trip for $250.00.

Do you ship or what is the cost?The cost of shipping the pole to most locations within the US is around $100.00, but in some cases it could be more.Before shipping, we will give you an exact price quote.

How can I get the pole to your location?Pick it up in one piece if you assemble it that way.We use a kayak rack on the roof of a car or a ladder rack in a pick up truck.You can assemble it yourself if you take the 3 pole sections.The longest piece is about 7 feet.

Do you have the skills to assemble it?A: You need a corded drill with a 5/16 inch drive and an open ended wrench.The assembly procedure is shown in a video at the bottom of the Q and A section.

Can it be painted?They have been painted with Rustolium spray paint and it works well.Before painting, we suggest wiping the pole down.

A: How big can I hang from the pole?You should use a feeder that weighs no more than 5 pounds.Lifting heavy objects over your head will be difficult once the pole is over 11 feet tall.
