Step 3: Show courtesy and respect to the authorities.
Mistakes will happen and they are not perfect human beings.Assist and obey is the best thing you can do.Don't draw attention to yourself and keep your head down.If you want to survive, this isn't the time for political activism.You can't live without your person.There is no time to go back for your things if you are being moved.If you have to move immediately, have everything you need on you.If you're tempted to go back for something, keep on.You may have to leave something if it's too big.It is possible to hide something special until you can come back for it.When you return, you may want to bury a time capsule in a waterproof container.
Step 4: Follow all the directions given to you.

Step 7: In a hidden location, build a survival Bunker.

Step 10: When martial law ends, keep a radio on hand to listen to.
Most likely you won't be able to stay there forever.You need to keep in touch with the outside world.You need to know when it's safe to leave.Since batteries degrade, you may want to use a survival radio that has a hand-crank for power.Be careful with pro-military propaganda.Code words and frequencies are what local militias are broadcasting on.Wait until civil authority has been restored before you listen to anything.
Step 11: If you're sure it's safe to leave, stay there.
The isolation is the hardest part of hiding.The fate of your entire family may be at risk when you step out of the Bunker.Someone may be watching you enter or exit your building.There are tracks or human scent near the entrance.Search dogs may be able to find you.Stay in your room as long as possible.If you are in a shelter for a long time, you should prioritize your food.It might be a good idea to eat something before it expires.
Step 12: The day martial law is declared, have a go-bag.
If you think martial law will be enacted by hostile military forces, then you should be prepared.Will you be able to resist or submit?You should have a go-bag with all the supplies you need.Your go-bag should be light.To determine what you need for your bag, estimate how far you'll have to travel.As you may be carrying the bag, you should favor small and light items.Basic survival gear and food are included in this.
Step 13: There's guns, supplies, and survival gear in a hidden room.

A military chain of command may have been hypothetical.It's time to follow orders.Establish the leadership structure and who must report to you.People with military experience are most likely in your ranks.Maintaining order will be crucial to their expertise.
Step 17: As you move to a safe location, keep your militia with you.
You may need to move if you survive and fight long enough.You may be grouping up with other local militias to form a larger resistance force.It is possible that you are moving to reestablish civil authority.Your options are limited if the supplies of your Bunker are running out.You will not be alone in this.To continue resisting the government, you will need to move with the militia to a safe location.
