The Computer in Windows 8 has a feature that allows you to view all of the hard disk drives.That are connected to your computer.The article describes how to access a computer.
Step 1: Press Win+E.
This will open the file explorer window.
Step 2: You can click on "This PC" or "Computer" in the navigation.
If you have a lot of folders, you may need to scroll down to see the "This PC" section in the left-hand side of the Explorer window.
Step 3: Go to the Start screen.
The key is Win.The lower left corner of your desktop has a Windows icon.
Step 4: If you have either Windows 8.1 or Windows 8 you can type "This PC"
The bar will open.
Step 5: You can click the first result.
Step 6: You can open file explorer.
Press Win+E on your keyboard.
Step 7: You can create a shortcut on your desktop.
You can create a shortcut by dragging "This PC" or "Computer" from the navigation pane of File Explorer to your desktop background.
Step 8: You can use a shortcut to This PC/Computer.
To create a shortcut, drag the "This PC" or "Computer" on your desktop.
Step 9: Click the icon to open the computer.
Step 10: Click anywhere on the screen.
Step 11: You can choose the Personalize option from the drop down.
The personalization window can be found at the bottom of the menu.
Step 12: You can change the desktop icons.
In the upper left-hand corner of the window, click on Change Desktop Icons.
Step 13: Click OK if you want to select a computer.
The icon is on the desktop.To see your hard drive, double click the icon.
Step 14: To open this PC/Computer, double click the icon.
